Having introduced millions of Indians to the wealth of our ancient heritage and culture, our next step was to bring the same experience to the new generation in a tactile, tangible and relevant way. This lead to the birth of ACK Alive.
ACK Alive - A Centre for Learning is a state-of-the-art experiential learning space spread over 10,000 square feet. ACK Alive is a unique concept that brings alive the stories, the cultural learning and the values that Amar Chitra Katha has always celebrated. The ACK Alive centre offers a wide range of art forms across disciplines like Art & Design, Life Skills, Performing Arts and Vedic Sciences & Ethics.
All our courses and workshops are specially curated for various age groups ranging right from 3 to 80 years! Our courses are conducted in dedicated spaces by well-trained professionals with valuable experience in their fields of expertise.
Our courses range from dedicated storytelling-based modules developed by the Amar Chitra Katha editorial to a series of workshops that explore a multitude of artistic skills and traditions such as dance, music, yoga, theatre, puppetry, pottery, painting and many more!
We believe in creating an environment where success and personal growth is measured not just by learning a certain skill, but also by fully imbibing the values inherent in each of those skills.
ACK Alive welcomes people of all ages, races, religions, orientations and diverse backgrounds who are interested in exploring and connecting with the enriching heritage of Indian culture.
Amar Chitra Katha has been the first glimpse into our glorious heritage and culture for generations of Indians. Founded in 1967, today, Amar Chitra Katha (ACK) is a household name in India. For over five decades, ACK has been at the forefront of preserving and spreading Indian culture, traditions, mythology, history and folklore through the enthralling medium of stories. Today, ACK is synonymous with the visual reinvention of quintessentially Indian tales from the great epics, mythology, history, literature, oral folktales and many other sources.
Amar Chitra Katha is a cultural phenomenon with a catalogue of more than 400 comics in 20+ languages that have sold 100+ million copies to date. With more than 1.5 million copies sold every year, Amar Chitra Katha is a cherished brand and an undisputed leader of the children’s publishing space in India.

The inspiration for ACK Alive comes from a popular Lord Krishna story which took place in the Gurukul where Guru Sandipani taught Krishna and Balarama…
“After the slaying of Kamsa and the thread ceremony, Krishna and Balarama went to the ashram of Guru Sandipani. There, within a span of merely 64 days, Krishna and Balarama learnt 14 types of sciences (vidyas) and 64 arts (kalas) required to flourish in human society.”
Drawing inspiration from this story as well as from the artistic and cultural traditions practised across the Indian sub-continent for centuries, the ACK Alive centre aims to offers a varied range of 64 art forms across disciplines like Art & Design, Life Skills, Performing Arts and Vedic Sciences & Ethics.
These art forms have been specially curated to cater to different needs of learners and are segregated into seven learning styles:
Aural, Verbal, Visual, Physical, Logical, Social and Solitary
Which we have were further consolidated into four learning disciplines:
|Arts and Design||Performing Arts||Life Skills||Vedic Sciences & Ethics|
